Our Message

GiveTogether is a student-led initiative dedicated to encouraging blood and plasma donation among Canadian post-secondary students. Our goal is to inspire students to come together, support their communities, and contribute to life-saving efforts.

Shoutout to Pavan Anandakumar and Christo Johnson for bravely donating, with unwavering support from Heungbin Oh, Roy Bryan David Franck Mariscal and me. We faced pouring rain just to get there, unsure of what to expect but excited and genuinely happy to be taking this step together. Arriving at Canadian Blood Services, we were warmly welcomed by their team made us feel safe, comfortable, and fully informed. Everyone’s questions were answered, nerves faded, and the atmosphere was filled with encouragement.

I arrived at the Canadian Blood Service feeling quite nervous and filled with worried thoughts about the entire donation process. I wasn`t sure what to expect, and the idea of giving blood made me a bit anxious. However, as soon as I walked in, my worries started to fade. The staff greeted me with such warm and bright smiles that I immediately felt welcomed and at ease. They were incredibly kind and reassuring, patiently guiding me through each step of the process. Before the donation, they carefully explained the procedure and performed a thorough blood examination to ensure everything was safe and suitable. After the donation, they even offered us a variety of snacks and pops to help us recover our energy. Overall, what started as a stressful experience turned into a truly uplifting and memorable one, and I`m grateful for the kindness and care shown by everyone there.
